I'm still fighting it

This song has been on repeat for a while now...

This past year has been a challenging one, to say the least. Don't get me wrong, it has been filled with so many good times and memories i will forever cherish. but lets just say it had its rocky patches. as the year is slowing down and i enter into a new school year, i reflect on this past summer. i am finally seeing things get back to better. i enjoy school now. im enjoying the growing up process. i am not, however, enjoying the 'letting go' process of friends. many of mine are leaving soon. they are on to bigger and better things. i have to keep telling myself that it is just see you later. and it is. but its in my nature to fight the change. so ill fight it for a while and then i will ease back into the schedule of school. i guess it's just another thing i have to learn about growing up.
in the mean time, i have been spending lots of time with some of my favorite people. they fill my day with brightness and inspiration:
