Conner and I conquering the pole.
Couldn't have asked for a better prayer partner.
Sometimes words just aren't good enough to tell the stories I have to tell (or words on a blog for that matter). So I hope in the future you would stop me and ask me to tell the story of this weekend in person. This weekend I went on fall retreat with my youth group to New Frontiers. These trips are usually some of the best memories I carry with me, but in light of this years events, I was not expecting much. I soon learned that my expectations were not only going to be met, but exceeded. I also learned some very important lessons: you can do anything if you just say, "I can." -- sometimes one person can have a huge impact on your life and not even know it. -&- you're never alone. there's always someone behind you saying, "you can do it just take that leap, take that step." and someone above you saying, "grab my hand, we will get to the top together." I found myself diving into the thoughts that i chose to ignore for a long time and I figured a lot of things out. it has been a glorious weekend and im anxious to share the full story.
So here's to taking the leap,
to saying I CAN, to figuring things out,
and to wonderful weekends with friends who feel a bit more like family.
-Em
