Lent: Week Two

Required Wednesday Listening: Song for the Suburbs by Ben Rector

the week according to my iphone:

verse of the week: Matthew 11:28

Things I learned this week:
-Sometimes you just gotta let it go
-Talking problems out is the best solution
-If you just stop and watch the world, you will realize how beautiful this place is

Things to work on in the coming week:
-Stress levels
-centering and focusing myself
-not taking things for granted

This week has been a busy week, but busy is better than boring. More so this week, I realized how easy it is to get caught up in the school work and forget about this season. It's safe to say I am ready for spring break. But the biggest thing for me this week was letting go of things. This season is a time of fasting and praying and relying. I have decided it does no good to keep things to myself and in the coming weeks I plan to get better at letting things go. I have also tried to stop and watch the world this past week. and I truly have seen the beauty around me. This includes the beauty of the people around me. I am so thankful for all those around me. I am not sure how I got so lucky to be surrounded by such encouraging and loving people. and I am so glad they are sharing this journey with me.

A few people I love on a daily basis:

my praise band team. what a blessing.

my fellow vols fans

and my bestest friends (not pictured but still loved: rachel)
these four people have helped me through this year more than they will ever know.

here's to another week of this beautiful season. here's to learning to be thankful. and here's to friends that feel more like family.
